Jim joined the firm in 1996 as a staff accountant, and with his strong drive to excel and his knowledge of the construction and manufacturing industries, he got on the fast track to become a manager. Jim has an intense interest in accounting and consulting for the construction industry and has earned the designation of Certified Intuit Master Building Professional Advisor. As such, Jim as the ability to assist clients in adhering to the stringent standards demanded by the industry and to provide one-on-one consulting and training to clients using MasterBuilder software, which is the construction industry's upgrade from QuickBooks.
Jim enjoys working closely with his clients to help them succeed. A new client engaged Jim because an "expert" told them that what they wanted to do couldn't be done. Jim not only showed them it could be done, he helped to develop their internal processes and manuals. The client has successfully utilized QuickBooks Pro for 3 years. Jim helped another client transition their business from California to Chicago by helping with the transition process and working with the client to outsource their entire accounting department to CDH.
Jim's personal service philosophy is to build a trusting relationship with his clients and their personnel. He attributes much of his success to his genuine concern for the clients' well being and his expertise in their industry and in CDH's product.
True to form as a high achiever, Jim chose the field of accounting because "accounting had the highest scholastic requirements in the school of business."
