I created my own career path.

Kim, Tax Team Manager

Prior to CDH, I worked 5 years at a Big 4 firm where I focused on corporate international tax. This type of work provided a narrow focus of learning. As I began my career at CDH in 2005 as a tax senior, I learned and developed a broader base of tax knowledge in individual and state taxation, and took on various projects and a wide base of clients. The broader base of tax knowledge helped me to learn and provided new opportunities to develop and strengthen my tax technical skills on tax returns and tax research. I also was provided the opportunity to begin review skills of other staff's projects. This helped me to learn how to review other's work product and communicate with staff on their assignments and to provide constructive feedback. In addition, this helped me to develop project management skills.

Additionally, CDH provided an opportunity for me to help grow and develop myself and others in the mentoring program where I am helping others with their career path at CDH. All of these experiences helped me to achieve a promotion in December 2007. I enjoy working for CDH as a tax manager, as I have been provided with continuous challenges on client assignments and development of myself and others within the tax department. Each day I have opportunities to increase my leadership and management abilities.
