New Principal, William B. Bird joins International Services Group
Itasca, IL (October, 2006) – William B. Bird has been elected Principal in the accounting firm of Corbett, Duncan & Hubly, P.C. a Midwest regional firm based in Itasca, Illinois. “Since joining Corbett, Duncan & Hubly, Bill has been a tremendous asset to our team and to our clients. In addition to expanding our International Services Group practice, Bill has given us some great ideas for improving our core business. For these reasons, our shareholder group is pleased and excited to welcome Bill Bird as a principal of the firm,” said CEO and Managing Principal, William E. Hubly II.
Bill, who is fluent in Japanese and has worked with international companies his entire career, will be focused within the International Services Group in the areas of financial audits and other attest engagements, including advising clients on business improvement and financial processes. He has audit experience ranging from Fortune 100 manufacturers and distributors to multi-billion dollar pension trusts to entrepreneurial start-up ventures. Bill has over 13 years of extensive “Big Four” CPA firm experience in financial audit and middle market consulting, and is coming from a privately held Tier1/Tier2 automotive manufacturer where he was the Treasurer, accounting manager and member of the Board of several group entities. His experience includes auditing a wide range of companies as well as a variety of projects, which include software selection and evaluation, financial process improvement and implementation, SAP implementation, full scale due diligence and an initial public offering of an SB registrant.
Bill holds a BS in Business Administration from the Boston University School of Management, and has additional credentials from the International Division of Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, Michigan CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Bill will be working in the Illinois and Michigan offices of Corbett, Duncan & Hubly, P.C.
