March 20, 2020

To our clients and community,

I want to provide an update on our evolving response to the coronavirus outbreak. Please be assured that CDH is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the use of best practices for minimizing the risks for our team, clients, and community.

As you are aware, the federal, state, and local governments have taken additional actions to curtail the spread of the virus. Governor Pritzker just issued a Stay-at-Home order for the State of Illinois starting on Saturday, March 21 at 5 p.m. In accordance with that mandate, we will close all CDH office locations as of Saturday, March 21 until further notice. CDH will remain fully operational during this time as our staff is technologically equipped to support our clients while working remotely. We are committed to maintaining the quality and timeliness of service you expect from our team.

The U.S. mail system is an essential function and will continue deliveries to CDH during this time. Another option is to send information electronically. If you are unsure of how to send information electronically, please let us know and we will be happy to assist. Finally, please be aware that the tax filing date has been extended from April 15 to July 15. This update follows the tax payment delay which was announced earlier this week. CDH is here to help, and we encourage taxpayers to submit information as planned, as returns will continue to be processed.

With the influx of new information each day, we assure you our team continues to monitor the situation with the safety of our clients and community being our top priority. We will continue to adapt our protocols as necessary and will keep you informed of important updates and changes.

As we navigate this time of uncertainty together, we wish you and your families well. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Wendy Kelly
CEO & Managing Partner
